This guide applies to the following machine and software. Please note when referencing:
Cloud Mode Connection Failure: Snapmaker Orca cannot discover or connect to the U1 via the cloud.
Abnormal Status Icon: The touchscreen displays a "Cloud Connection Error" icon in the top-right corner.

App Binding Failure: Snapmaker App cannot search for or connect to the U1.
Which situation are you experiencing?
U1 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Please ensure your router has 2.4GHz enabled; 5GHz is not supported.
Before starting, make sure you have followed the correct cloud mode connection steps in the Snapmaker Orca Quick Start Guide (for U1).
Ensure the printer firmware, Snapmaker Orca, and Snapmaker App are updated to the latest versions. As of December 18, 2025, the latest versions are:

Maximum compatibility: Some Wi-Fi access points may have advanced features that are not fully compatible with the printer’s Wi-Fi module, causing IP acquisition failure. If you encounter connection issues, try enabling the "Maximum Compatibility" option (default off).
If the network is abnormal, fix it before retrying the connection.
Ensure your computer firewall is not blocking Snapmaker Orca from accessing the network.
Ensure no VPN or proxy is active on your computer.
Images show Windows as an example. Mac or Linux users should also check firewall and VPN/proxy settings.
In some unexpected cases, connection failures may occur due to timeout. You can try “forgetting” the network and reconnecting.
If all steps fail, export both the printer and Snapmaker Orca logs and contact Snapmaker Support with these logs and the timestamp of the issue.
