The filament is not extruded from the nozzle.
As presented above, many causes, sometimes even occurring simultaneously, could result in failed filament extrusion. Therefore, it might be necessary to try more than one solution to resolve the problem thoroughly.
To minimize the time and efforts required, we have organized the solutions by difficulty and suggest that you troubleshoot in the following order. Alternatively, you may also try any of the solutions in any order based on your own assessment of the actual situation.
Open the front cover of the module and press the extruder buckle to expand the dual-gear extruder.
Observe whether there are any bent or entangled filaments around or inside the extruder gears.
a. If you find any, refer to Extruder clogging to further troubleshoot.
b. If there are none, refer to Nozzle clogging or Hot end clogging to further troubleshoot.
As cloggings can occur in different places concurrently, you might need to troubleshoot all three possible-to-clog parts before the cloggings are thoroughly solved.
If you have cleaned all the clogs but the extrusion problem persists, proceed to Step 3 to further troubleshoot extruder-related issues.
On the Touchscreen, tap Load and simultaneously push the extruder buckle inwards to apply extra extruding force on the filament.
On the Touchscreen, tap Load and listen carefully to the current noise of the extruder.
If you are unsure about what normal current noise sounds like, compare it to that of a properly-extruding extruder.
For case 1, in the case of disassembling the dual extruder, observe whether the cable of the stepper motor is damaged or whether the connector is firm.
For case 2, please submit a ticket here. Our Support team will assist you in resolving the issue.
For case 3, refer to The set screw of the extruder gets loose to further troubleshoot.
If you have tried all the above solutions and the filament still cannot be extruded, please submit a ticket here. Our Support team will assist you in resolving the issue.
