¶ Do I need to purchase the Can Hub?
No, the Can Hub is only necessary if you want to use the Air Purifier and Emergency Stop Button on Snapmaker 2.0 simultaneously. If you want to purchase Artisan, you do not need to buy the Can Hub.
¶ Print Accuracy(Printer-tolerances) for Artisan?
The print accuracy for Artisan is ±0.1mm/per 100mm.

¶ Can the Snapmaker Artisan cut metal?
Snapmaker Artisan supports laser engraving on metal but does not support metal cutting.
¶ Can the Snapmaker Artisan cut glass?
Snapmaker Artisan can laser engrave on dark glass but cannot cut it. To engrave on transparent glass, you must paint the surface black.
¶ Can the Snapmaker Artisan laser cut acrylic?
Snapmaker Artisan can cut on dark acrylic(Blue excluded). To cut on transparent acrylic., you must paint the surface black.
¶ What is the layer thickness of the Snapmaker Artisan?
The layer thickness/layer resolution/dimension accuracy is 0.1mm.

¶ Does Artisan have any certifications or approvals?
Yes, Artisan has obtained certifications for CE, MD, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, FCC, FDA, IC, MIC, PSE, RCM, SRRC, TSCA, UKCA, UL 62368-1, and CA65.
¶ What kind of power adapter will be shipped?
The provided power supply unit can run on 100-240V AC and can be used universally. It can accommodate different AC mains voltages with interchangeable connectors.
¶ Can I use the Laser Module or CNC Module with the Artisan without the Enclosure?
No, the Laser Module and CNC Module cannot be used with the Artisan without the Enclosure, as it is equipped with an integrated door-detection sensor. For safety reasons, if the sensor detects that the door is open or not properly closed, the Laser Module and CNC Module will automatically stop working to ensure your safety.
¶ What are the differences between Artisan Linear Modules and Snapmaker 2.0 TMC Linear Modules?
The Artisan Linear Modules are embedded with sophisticated steel guiderails made by CNC grinding at micron level. They are the foundation for Artisan to perform high-precision 3D Printing, Laser Engraving, and CNC Carving. The X Axis and Y Axes adopt Gates synchronous belts with a lead of 40 mm, and the Z Axes adopt T-slot screws with a lead of 8 mm. The maximum printing speed is 180 mm/s.
The Snapmaker 2.0 TMC Linear Modules adopt T-slot screws and shaft rollers. The leads of X Axis, Y Axes, and Z Axes are 20 mm, 20 mm, and 8 mm respectively. The maximum printing speed is 100 mm/s.
Artisan Linear Modules and Snapmaker 2.0 TMC Linear Modules are incompatible and thus cannot be used interchangeably.
¶ What are the CNC motor spindle speeds for the Snapmaker Artisan/2.0/Original 3-in-1 3D printer? Are they adjustable?

¶ Why does the Snapmaker 2.0 Emergency Stop Button not work on Snapmaker Artisan?
The Snapmaker Artisan has a built-in Emergency Stop Button that has a different working mechanism from the Snapmaker 2.0 Emergency Stop Button. For safety reasons, other external emergency stop buttons are forbidden on Snapmaker Artisan. Therefore, Snapmaker 2.0 Emergency Stop Button will not work on Snapmaker Artisan.
¶ What are the differences between Snapmaker 2.0 Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module and Snapmaker Artisan Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module?
In terms of hardware composition, Snapmaker 2.0 Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module features a proximity sensor, while Artisan Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module does not.
In terms of calibration processes, Snapmaker 2.0 Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module uses the proximity sensor to detect the distance between the nozzles and the heated bed[1]. Without the proximity sensor, Snapmaker Artisan Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module detects the leveling stats of the heated bed by touching the build plate with its left nozzles. The same technical principle is applied to both modules' Z offset and XY offset calibration.
[1] Snapmaker 2.0 Dual Extrusion 3D Printing Module features both proximity switch and optoelectronic switch. Yet, the optoelectronic switch is only used for Z Offset Calibration. If the optoelectronic switch is also applied to Mesh Bed Leveling, the platform of 2.0 will slightly warp after the nozzle touches the build plate, which will further decrease the accuracy of Mesh Bed Leveling. This also means glass plate is only compatible with 2.0 in the situation of manual leveling.

¶ Where will my package be shipped from?
Our production warehouse is located in Shenzhen, China, with additional shipping warehouses in the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
If you are in one of these regions, your order will be shipped directly from the local warehouse. In cases where the local warehouse is out of stock, the order will be fulfilled from our China warehouse.
Orders from regions not listed above will be shipped directly from the China warehouse.
Note: The Germany warehouse ships to EU countries, as well as Norway and Switzerland.

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days from the purchase date (excluding pre-order or Kickstarter items). Standard shipping generally takes 3–7 business days.
