This article applies to the following model and module. Please take note when referencing:
- The printing process stops midway and an error message 'Printing Anomaly' is displayed on the touchscreen.
- After tapping “Continue,” the print can temporarily resume.
- The issue may occur repeatedly during printing.
- The Filament is tangled, causing abnormal feeding.
- The toolhead that reports the error is clogged.
- The Filament is broken and stuck inside the filament tube.
¶ 1. Check the Filament and confirm whether there is any tangling.
Please first check whether the filament is tangled or knotted.
- If the filament is tangled, organize the filament properly, then tap “Resume Printing” and observe whether the issue occurs again.
- If the filament is not tangled, continue to the next step.
After tapping “Continue,” observe whether the Filament can be extruded normally.
- If the filament cannot extrude properly, the toolhead may be clogged. Please refer to the following Wiki article for troubleshooting:
U1 Filament Not Extruding
- If the filament extrudes normally, continue to the next step.
Please check whether there is any broken filament stuck inside the guide tube.
- If broken filament is found inside the guide tube, remove it, then tap “Resume Printing” and observe whether the issue occurs again.
- If there is no blockage inside the guide tube, continue to the next step.
¶ 4. Update to firmware v1.4.0 or later and adjust air printing detection sensitivity
The latest firmware improves the air printing detection algorithm and can significantly reduce false detection issues during printing.
¶ 4.1 Firmware download and update guide
U1 Firmware Update Procedure
On the touchscreen, navigate to:
Printing Preferences > Air Printing Detection
Then set the air printing detection sensitivity to Low.
If the issue still persists after completing the steps above, please collect the troubleshooting information and contact snapmaker support.
- If the filament is tangled, reorganize the filament and restart the print.
- If the toolhead is clogged, clean the toolhead and try printing again.
- If broken filament is stuck inside the guide tube, remove it before continuing the print.
- Update the machine to firmware v1.4.0 or later and set the air printing detection sensitivity to “low”.
