This article applies to the following model and module. Please take note when referencing:
- The printing process stops midway and an error message 'Printing Anomaly' is displayed on the touchscreen.
- After tapping “Continue,” the print can temporarily resume.
- The issue may occur repeatedly during printing.
- The Filament is tangled, causing abnormal feeding.
- The toolhead that reports the error is clogged.
- The Filament is broken and stuck inside the filament tube.
- A temporary firmware is available to improve the air printing detection logic and significantly reduce the likelihood of false alarms.

Firmware Update Steps:
- Download the firmware file and save it to a USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the printer.
- On the touchscreen, navigate to:
Settings > About > Firmware Version > Local Update
- Select the firmware file and tap Confirm in the pop-up window.
This optimized firmware is compiled based on version 1.3.0 and includes improvements to the air printing detection algorithm. It is safe to use.
- On the touchscreen, go to print preferences and set the Air Printing Detection sensitivity to Low.
¶ 1. Check the Filament and confirm whether there is any tangling.
After tapping “Continue,” observe whether the Filament can be extruded normally.
¶ 4. Try installing Air Printing Detection Optimization Firmware v1.4.0.2, then set the Air Printing Detection sensitivity to Low and observe whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue still cannot be resolved, please collect the troubleshooting information and contact Snapmaker Support.
- If the Filament is tangled, reorganize it and restart the print.
- If the toolhead is clogged, clean it and try printing again.
- If broken Filament is found inside the filament tube, remove it before continuing.
- Try Air Printing Detection Optimization Firmware v1.4.0.2. If the issue still cannot be resolved, please contact Snapmaker Support.
