¶ Before You Start
- Update the machine firmware and Snapmaker Luban (hereafter Luban) to their latest version.
- Turn off the machine.
- Complete the following tasks:
- If you are using Artisan or Ray, make sure you have prepared the extension cord for the Rotary Module (sold separately in our online store).
¶ Procedures
Before plugging or unplugging any cables, turn off the machine first.
Step 1 Connect the Rotary Module to the Controller.
Step 2 Verify the connection.
Turn on the machine, and check if the Rotary Module is among the connected modules listed on the Home screen.
If the Rotary Module is not identified as connected, check if you've plugged the extension cord into the correct port.
Always turn off the machine before unplugging any cables.
Step 1 Connect the Rotary Module to the Integrated Controller.
- Detach the back panel of the Enclosure and the cable pass-through fixture.
- Insert the female end of the extension cord into the male end of the Rotary Module cable (on the headstock).
- Thread the extension cord through the rightmost hole, and re-attach the cable pass-through fixture.
- Re-attach the back panel.
- Plug the other end of the extension cord into the Motion 1 port of the Integrated Controller.
Step 2 Verify the connection.
Turn on the machine, tap Settings > Module Assistant, and check if the Rotary Module is among the connected module list.
If the Rotary Module is not identified as connected, check if you've plugged the extension cord into the correct port.
Always turn off the machine before unplugging any cables.
Step 1 Connect the Rotary Module to the Integrated Controller.
- Insert the female end of the extension cord into the male end of the Rotary Module cable (on the headstock).
- Plug the other end of the extension cord into the Motion port of the Integrated Controller.
Step 2 Verify the connection.
- Turn on the machine and connect it to Luban.
- In Luban's Workspace, check if the Rotary Module is displayed in the Connection panel.
If the Rotary Module is not identified as connected, check if you've plugged the extension cord into the correct port.
