This article applies to the following models and modules. Please pay attention to the details when referring to it:
Please note that there is a limit switch at the end, so make sure to remove the slider slowly to avoid damaging it!
Here's a video for your reference that shows how to adjust the slider:
One side of the bearings is adjustable
a. If your slider is too tight, turn the eccentric nut to the left to loosen the slider.
b. If your slider is too loose, turn the eccentric nut to the right to tighten the slider.
Please use the screwdriver to press the metal piece when you assemble the slider to prevent the metal piece from being resistant to the slider assembly.
Please note that if your linear module is the TMC version, when assembling the slider onto the linear module, it is important to pay attention to the adjustment of the slider's anti-backlash nut.
For specific instructions, please refer to the wiki article: What should I do if the processed object is not round Step 2: Adjust the nut to eliminate backlash.
To reduce maintenance related to slider looseness, we recommend considering the purchase of our Bracing Kit.
The Bracing Kit for Snapmaker 2.0 Linear Modules consists of five Bracing Plates attached to the sliders on the X/Y/Z axes. This kit reinforces the rigidity of all Linear Modules, ensuring even better machining quality.
Installing a Bracing Kit can reduce slider looseness and eliminate the need for tedious slider tension adjustments, repairs, and maintenance operations.
