¶ Problem Description
- The processed round object is not round.
- Laser engraving produces double images.
¶ Possible Cause
- There is backlash in the linear module. ✔
- Linear module slider is loose.
¶ Solution
¶ Before You Start
Remove the linear module from the machine.
¶ Tool Required
- Dust-free cloth x 1
- 2.0mm screwdriver x 1
- 2.5mm screwdriver x 1
¶ Procedures
¶ Step1. Open the end cover and slide out the slider
- Use the 2.0mm screwdriver to remove the steel strip pressure blocks at both ends, and use the 2.5mm screwdriver to remove the end cover.
- Slide out the slider and collect the grease on the dust-free cloth with a screwdriver, then set it aside for later use.
- Loosen the two screws of the limit trigger block with a 2.0mm screwdriver and take it out.
- Slide out the slider about 2/3 of the way.
¶ Step2. Adjust the nut to eliminate the backlash
- Use a screwdriver to press down on the nut to eliminate the backlash by about 3mm, then slowly slide the slider in until the lead screw is just exposed.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the limit switch contact when sliding the slider in.
2. Check whether the nut is lower than the height of the slider cylinder, then install and tighten the two screws of the limit trigger block.
3. Move the slider back 1-2cm and evenly apply the collected grease to the lead screw between the slider and the end cover.
¶ Step3. Reinstall the end cover and steel strip
- Tighten the screws that were removed from the end cover.
- Tighten the screws of the steel strip pressure blocks and adjust the steel strip.（Reference steel strip adjustment）
