After installing the 2W IR laser module as per the Quick Start Guide, the 2W IR laser module can't be detected or recongized by the machine.
The firmware is outdated. The minimum required firmware version for the 2W IR laser module is 1.20.2, and the touchscreen version should be at least 1.19.0.
Swipe right on the touchscreen, then tap Settings and About Machine to check if the screen version is 1.19.0 or higher.
If the touchscreen version is lower than 1.19.0, try update to the latest firmware using a USB drive to fix the issue. For detailed instructions on how to update firmware using a USB drive, please refer to the following article:
Updating the firmware via Wi-Fi can sometimes be unstable, leading to a failed screen version update. Therefore, it is recommended to use a USB drive for the update.
Before upgrading the firmware, please ensure there is enough space on the screen; insufficient space can cause the upgrade to fail.
Here are the steps to check the local storage space: swipe right on the touchscreen, then tap Files and Local. At the bottom of the touchscreen, you'll see the storage information. Make sure there is at least 200MB of free space to update the firmware.
If you find that the touchscreen storage space is full but the Local folder does not contain many files, please connect the other tool heads in sequence. The G-code files stored on the screen will only be displayed when the corresponding tool head is connected.
