J1 supports four print modes to meet your various printing scenarios, including Normal Mode, Copy Mode, Mirror Mode, and Backup Mode.
- Normal Mode: The machine prints according to the parameters and the printing mode you’ve set in the slicer.
- Copy Mode: The two extruders work simultaneously to print identical models with the same parameters.
- Mirror Mode: The two extruders work simultaneously to print identical models that are left-right reversed with the same parameters.
- Backup Mode: When the working extruder runs out of filament, the machine will continue printing with the standby extruder.
¶ Procedures
You can select the print mode in Luban.
If you use other third-party slicers to generate G-code files, you can select the print mode on the Touchscreen.
If you make the selection both in Luban and on the Touchscreen for one G-code file, the selection made in Luban will take precedence.
¶ In Luban
- Launch Luban and click 3D Printing on the Home page.
Make sure you have selected J1 as the machine model.
- Select the desired print mode in the pop-up window and click Close. The selection will apply immediately.
The Duplication Mode equals the Copy Mode on the Touchscreen. This is a temporary UI inconsistency issue that will be fixed soon.
You can also change the mode in Mode in the main toolbar.
¶ On the Touchscreen
- Tap the to-be-printed file.
- On the file info screen, tap the bottom left corner to select the print mode.
By default, the Default Mode is selected.
You can tap the Question Mark icon beside to get brief introductions for each print mode.
