¶ Location
One end of the toolhead cable is connected to the top of the toolhead, and the other end is connected to the HUB board (under the top panel of the machine).
¶ Terminology
Different from our official term, some people may use the following terms to describe this component:
- Tool head cable
- Toolhead cable (USB-C)
- Toolhead electrical cable
- Print head cable

- H2.0 hex key
- New toolhead cable
¶ Procedure
¶ Step 1. Remove the old toolhead cable
- Turn off the machine and unplug the power cable.
- Separate the toolhead cable from the clips.
- Use the H2.0 hex key to unscrew the 4 fixing screws and remove the toolhead cable
The specifications of the fixing screws at both ends of the toolhead cable are different.
¶ Step 2. Install the new toolhead cable
- Insert both ends of the new toolhead cable into the HUB board and the toolhead respectively, and use the H2.0 hex key to tighten the fixing screws.
The screws used to secure the toolhead cable on both ends are different, so please make sure you are using the correct screws for installation.
- Press the toolhead cable into the clips.
