A strong review process helps keep the community safe, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone.
Every model, print profile, and piece of showcase content you publish on Snapmaker Space is reviewed before it goes live. The goal isn't to limit creativity—it's to ensure that everything shared on the platform is safe, trustworthy, and printable, so every user can enjoy a high-quality experience.
All publicly shared content on Snapmaker Space is subject to review, including but not limited to:
What's the difference between model review and Featured Models?
Model review and Featured Model evaluation are two separate processes. Model review determines whether your submission can be published on the platform, while Featured Model evaluation determines whether it qualifies for official recommendations and additional exposure. Every model must pass the review before it can be considered for Featured Model status. To learn more, see the Featured Model Guide.
From the moment you click Publish until your model becomes publicly available, your submission typically goes through the following steps:
Once you click Publish, your model enters the Under Review status. During this time, it is visible only to you and will not appear on the homepage, in search results, or on your public profile.
The platform first checks your print files using cloud slicing. If cloud slicing is unsuccessful, our review team will manually slice the model to verify that it can be printed successfully.
After the print files have been verified, our operations team reviews your model's title, description, images, and other content to ensure it complies with the platform's content guidelines.
Submissions containing potentially sensitive content, ambiguous cases, or other review risks may require additional review time.
The same manual review process also applies to secondary reviews triggered by user reports.
Even after a model has been approved and published, it may still undergo a secondary review if it is reported by users or flagged during routine platform audits. If a violation is confirmed, the model may be removed from the platform. You'll be notified of the review result through the Message Center.
While your submission is under review, you can check its current status anytime from Profile.
If you edit your submission while it is under review, it will re-enter the review queue and the review timeline will restart.
The following are the most common reasons why submissions are not approved. Reviewing this checklist before publishing can significantly improve your chances of passing on the first submission.
Content that violates the Community Guidelines cannot be published, including but not limited to:
Please make sure you have the legal right to upload both your model and any assets it contains. The following situations may be considered copyright or intellectual property infringement:
Choose the upload type that accurately reflects your work. Your submission may be rejected if:
We welcome the responsible use of AI as a creative tool, but AI should support—not replace—meaningful human creation. Your submission may not pass review if:
High-quality images help other users understand your model before downloading it. Your submission may be rejected if:
Provide accurate and complete information so others can successfully print and use your model. Common issues include:
Why do these rules exist?
These guidelines aren't just here to protect the platform—they're here to protect creators, too. By maintaining a safe, trustworthy, and original-first community, we help ensure that great work gets the visibility it deserves.
Most rejected submissions can be approved after the issues identified during review have been addressed.
Open the rejection notification in the Message Center to see the specific reason your submission was not approved.
Go to Profile, find the model marked Not Approved, and revise it based on the review feedback. For example, you may need to:
Once you've finished making your changes, publish the model again. It will enter a new review cycle. Please refer to Section 3: Review Timeline for the expected review time.
Repeatedly resubmitting a model without making meaningful changes is unlikely to produce a different review result and may be treated as abusive resubmission. Repeated serious violations—such as repeatedly uploading copied or unauthorized content—may affect your account standing and result in publishing restrictions.
Our review process combines automated checks with manual review. While we're constantly improving the system, no review process is perfect. If you believe your submission was incorrectly reviewed, you can appeal through any of the following channels:
To help us review your appeal as quickly as possible, please include any relevant supporting materials, such as screenshots of your design process, original CAD or modeling files, proof of authorization, or photos of the printed model.
Once we receive your appeal, our team will conduct a manual review and notify you of the result through the Message Center.
Submitting an appeal will not negatively affect your account. Every genuine appeal helps us improve our review process. If we determine that your submission was incorrectly rejected, we'll restore the content and continue refining our review guidelines.
A: Most submissions complete the automated review within 24 hours. If manual review is required, the process typically takes 1–3 business days. During busy periods—such as before contest deadlines or major platform events—reviews may take a little longer.
A: No. Models under review are visible only to you. They won't appear on the homepage, in search results, or on your public profile until they have been approved.
A: No. A single rejection has no impact on your account. Simply address the review feedback and resubmit your model. However, repeated serious violations—such as uploading unauthorized content, repeatedly copying others' work, or abusing the submission process—may result in publishing restrictions or other actions under our Community Guidelines.
A: Yes. Changes to model files, print profiles, showcase media, titles, descriptions, or other published content will trigger a new review. During this time, the current published version will remain visible until the updated version has been approved.
A: If your submission isn't approved, you'll receive a notification in the Message Center explaining the reason for the rejection. If you're still unsure what needs to be changed, you can submit a ticket and our team will be happy to help.
A: Not at all. Using AI doesn't automatically disqualify a submission. We support the responsible use of AI for tasks such as brainstorming, design assistance, parameter generation, and rendering. However, if a model is generated primarily by AI with little or no meaningful human modification, we recommend disclosing how AI was used in the model description. In addition, your cover image should feature photos of the actual printed model rather than AI-generated artwork.
A: No. You can resubmit your model as many times as needed after making meaningful revisions. However, repeatedly submitting the same content without addressing the review feedback may be considered abusive behavior and could affect your account standing.
Content review is the final quality check before your model is shared with the community.
Our goal is to create a platform that's safe, trustworthy, and respectful of original work—giving creators the confidence to share and users the confidence to download and print.
If your submission isn't approved the first time, don't be discouraged. Most issues can be resolved by following the review feedback and making the necessary improvements.
As the community continues to grow, these guidelines will continue to evolve. If you have questions about our review process or suggestions for making it better, we'd love to hear from you. Your feedback plays an important role in helping us build a stronger community for everyone.
