Every print rating is a valuable asset to our community!
Ratings help other users choose the right profile and avoid pitfalls, while also helping creators understand what works and what needs improvement. To optimize the printing experience and foster communication between users and creators, we have put together this rating guide.
The platform's star rating system applies to Print Profiles—not to the model design itself. A single model may have multiple profiles, each with different slicing parameters, support structures, and plate layouts. Ratings help you understand:
Use
Likes,Saves, andCommentsto express whether you like the design; usestar ratingsto express how well the profile prints. If you don't care for the model's theme or appearance, please avoid giving a low rating to a profile that prints normally.
We hope that every rating comes from a real print, your rating must meet all of the following conditions:
Real print: You have initiated a print of that profile via Cloud Printing, and the print job is complete (including both successful and failed prints).
Traceable source: The profile you printed was downloaded from this model platform.
Account in good standing: You are logged in and your account status is normal.
One rating per profile: Each user can rate the same profile only once.
No self‑rating: You cannot rate a profile you uploaded yourself.
High‑score verification (4–5 stars): The platform verifies that your account has a valid print record for that profile.
Why these conditions?
When your rating meets all the above, your rating card will display aVerified Printbadge—something that ordinary comments don't have. Because every rating is backed by a real print, it becomes trustworthy for others who come later.
Base your rating on the actual print result. Here are the reference standards for each star level:
| Stars | Lable | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| ★★★★★ 5 stars | Perfect | Prints flawlessly with no adjustments needed. Highly recommended to others. |
| ★★★★☆ 4 stars | Great | Prints smoothly with good results. Minor imperfections that don't affect function. |
| ★★★☆☆ 3 stars | Good | Some minor issues, but the final part is still usable. |
| ★★☆☆☆ 2 stars | Fair | Noticeable problems that require you to adjust settings to complete the print. |
| ★☆☆☆☆ 1 star | Poor | Fails to print properly or results in a severe failure. |
Your rating should reflect the
Profile's performance under recommended conditions. If you changed filament brands, modified settings, or experienced equipment issues, please rule out those factors before leaving a rating.
A low rating that identifies a real issue is the most valuable feedback in the community. To prevent misuse, low ratings can only be given when the print has failed or has noticeable problems.
When a print fails, the system automatically prevents 4‑star or 5‑star ratings.
Add a description: At least 10 characters, describing the problem you encountered (required).
Upload a photo: At least 1 photo of your printed result to help the creator identify the issue (required, up to 6 photos).
Select issue tags: Choose from the quick tags that best describe the problem (multiple selections allowed), for example:
| ① Support issues | ② Strength issues | ③ Bed adhesion issues |
| ④ Surface quality issues | ⑤ Dimensional inaccuracies | ⑥ Assembly difficulties |
| ⑦ Warping / Deformation | ⑧ Severe stringing | ⑨ Missing model parts |
| ⑩ Prime tower issues | ⑪ Other |
Why is the low‑rating requirement in place?
A photo of a failed print plus a comment like “Support won’t come off, the contact surface is a mess” does more to improve a profile than ten anonymous 1‑star ratings. The mandatory low‑rating process ensures your criticism is actually heard and used to make things better.
Whether you're giving a high or low rating, following these tips will make your rating more valuable to others:
Set the scene: Mention the printer model, filament brand and material, and whether you used the recommended settings.
Include photos: A photo of your print is worth a thousand words—ratings with images are prioritized in display.
Be specific: Tell what went well (e.g., supports peeled off easily, precise tolerances, first‑try success) or what went wrong (which part, where, and what happened).
Stick to facts: Describe what you observed, not your emotions. Creators will appreciate your quality feedback, and other users may upvote it—ratings with more upvotes will also be shown more prominently.
Print Completion Reminder: After a successful Cloud Print, both the Web and App versions of your account will receive a rating invitation.
On the Web: Go to Profile → Rating to find the rating form and submit your rating.
On the App: Go to My → Ratings to find the rating form and submit your rating.
Rating Queue: All pending ratings are saved in your Profile → Rating queue. You can submit them at any time, or choose to ignore them.
Reminder Frequency: If you haven't rated yet, the platform will send up to two additional reminders (after 24 hours and 7 days). You can check them in your Notifications — then no further push notifications will be sent.

A: Yes. The rating requirement is that the print job is complete—whether successful or failed. Failed prints often provide the most valuable feedback. Please follow the Low‑rating Guidelines in Section IV to add a description and upload photos to help creators and other users.
A: Please check the following common reasons:
A: The star rating cannot be modified after submission, but the text and images can be edited. If you truly rated incorrectly, you may delete the rating. The statistics will update in real time after deletion, but you will not be able to re‑rate the profile.
A: No. Ratings display your Avatar and Nickname, along with the Verified Print badge. Reporting a rating, however, is anonymous.
A: 4‑star and 5‑star ratings require platform verification of your valid print record for that profile. If you're sure you completed the print via Cloud Printing and still can't submit, please file a Support Ticket for investigation.
A: We recommend replying as the Author under the rating to clarify or offer a solution. If the rating is clearly a violation (unrelated to profile quality, abusive, coordinated downvoting, etc.), click Report on that rating card to submit it for review. Verified violations will be removed, and the average rating will be recalculated.
A: Ratings directly impact a profile's average score, star distribution, and ranking in the profile list—all of which are key references for other users when choosing a profile. For how rating data connects to creator incentives, featured selections, or other mechanisms, please refer to the relevant policy pages.
A: Yes, and it's encouraged. Ratings are profile‑based, so each profile you've actually printed can be rated independently. The rating list on the model detail page also supports filtering by profile.
A thoughtful rating is worth far more than its word count. It might save a beginner from a failed print, help a creator spot a blind spot, and remind us all that careful tuning is always worthwhile in this community.
We will keep this guide updated as our rating system evolves. If you have any suggestions on star definitions, low‑rating rules, or display logic, we'd love to hear from you via info@snapmaker.com!
