This guide provides a detailed, step-by-step process for replacing the top cover kit on the Dual Extruder of the Snapmaker 2.0 and Artisan models.
When removing or reinstalling the Dual Extruder, please make sure the machine is powered off. To avoid any issues, be careful not to plug or unplug anything while the machine is on or accidentally connect things the wrong way.
The connector wedge is pressed in from the top down, while the quick-release fitting is inserted into the gap between the connector wedge and the top cover.
Using an H1.5 screwdriver, carefully remove the four screws securing the old top cover.
Utilize an H2.0 screwdriver to take out the four screws located at the back of the dual extruder.
Gently push the internal module out of the outer casing to gain access for further steps.
With the H2.0 screwdriver, detach the four screws holding the top cover to the main control board.
Note that one of the screws is positioned in the center:
Remove the old top cover and attach the newly assembled top cover kit from the step 1 to the main control board, ensuring it is securely in place.
Following the disassembly steps, carefully reinstall each module and screw to complete the process.
