¶ Problem Description
- XY Offset Calibration printing failed.
- Check Model printing failed.
¶ Possible Cause
¶ 1. The first layer can not adhere.
The nozzle is too high from the 3D Printing Platform.
¶ 2. The right nozzle scrapes the part already printed by the left nozzle.
The right nozzle Z-offset is incorrect.
¶ 3. The printed part of the right nozzle does not adhere to the printed part of the left nozzle.
- The left and right nozzles use two different filaments. Such as PLA and PETG.
- The right nozzle is too high from the 3D Printing Platform (Z-offset is incorrect).
¶ 4. Scales can not be saved. This occurs during XY Offset Calibration printing.
¶ 5. The printing of the right nozzle is offset. This occurs during Check Model printing.
Scales were not saved correctly during XY calibration printing.
¶ Solution
¶ 1. The first layer does not adhere.
- Observe whether the nozzle is too far away from the 3D Printing Platform.
- If yes, adjust the Z-offset on the screen.
- If not, and the first layer still doesn't stick, apply some solid glue to the 3D Printing Platform.
- Check if you are using the correct filament, please use standard PLA on the left and right nozzles.
- Sensor Calibration.
- Note that after Sensor Calibration, the Z-offset Calibration need to be performed again.
- When Sensor Calibration, the nozzle only needs to lightly touch the calibration card, and the calibration card needs to be easily removable.
¶ 2. The right nozzle scrapes the part already printed by the left nozzle.
- Perform Z-offset Calibration again. If Z-offset Calibration does not solve the problem, perform Sensor Calibration.
- Sensor calibration.
- Note that after Sensor Calibration, the Z-offset Calibration need to be performed again.
- When Sensor Calibration, the nozzle only needs to lightly touch the calibration card, and the calibration card needs to be easily removable.
¶ 3. The printed part of the right nozzle does not adhere to the printed part of the left nozzle.
It is recommended to use standard PLA for both left and right nozzles.
¶ 4. Scales can not be saved.
- Check whether both nozzles are level.
- If they are level, proceed to the next step.
- If they are not level, check to see if the left and right hot ends are bent or deformed. If yes, you need to replace the hot end.
- Repeat XY Offset Calibration multiple times, and gradually adjust back to the appropriate value by saving the scale with the highest of coincidence each time.
- Use a multimeter to measure whether the distance between the centers of the left and right nozzles is correct. It should be around 25mm.
¶ 5. The printing of the right nozzle is offset.
Print XY Offset Calibration again and select the scale with the highest coincidence to save.
