As the 10W/20W/40W Laser Module engraves and cuts materials at a fixed focal length, it is recommended to use materials with a flat surface for engraving and cutting.
You can choose materials from the supported lists provided by Snapmaker, which have been tested and deemed safe for engraving and cutting by the 10W/20W/40W Laser Module.

If the material you are using is not included in the above lists, ensure that you have sufficient knowledge about its properties and take necessary precautions against any potential hazards that may arise during laser engraving and cutting.
To protect your safety as well as the environment, select the materials to be engraved and cut based on the following principles:
Do not use flammable and explosive materials.
Ensure that the material will not produce hazardous and toxic fumes when being laser engraved or cut, or the produced fumes can be purified by your air purifier.
Do not use highly reflective materials (except for 304 stainless steel and anodized aluminium), as they can reflect blue light, which may cause burning on the bottom cover of the laser module, and increase the safety risk of burning nearby objects or even causing fires.
Should you need to use reflective materials, apply laser absorbing coatings to the surfaces of the reflective materials. Laser absorbing coatings are materials designed to absorb laser light and convert it into heat, rather than reflecting or transmitting it.
