Luban's A-B position function only supports 2W Infrared Laser Module and 20W/40W Laser Module.
If you don't want to set the work origin, you can use Luban's A-B position function to accurately locate the engraving area. Select two points (point A and point B) on the material, and Luban software will automatically calculate the engraving area based on the coordinates of points A and B and present it on the canvas.
It is worth noting that AB Position is essentially a generated ordinary G-code, but its work origin is set to the machine coordinate point (0,0). If the work origin is redefined after completing AB position, the work origin of the AB position G-code (i.e., the machine coordinate point (0,0)) will be overwritten. You will need to redefine the work origin to the machine coordinate point (0,0), or you can click the "Done" button on the AB position panel again to automatically set the work origin to the machine coordinate point (0,0). Otherwise, the laser processing may fail.
Make sure to update both the software and the firmware to the version below or later.

Complete the Job Setup and click Confirm.
On top hidden bar, click File > Case Library > Metal Tag to import the example case.
Click the value under the XYZ Axis Offset to adjust the unit distance for the toolhead movement.
Drag the model into the rectangle displayed in Luban and resize it if needed.
Use Luban's default parameters to generate the G-code file.
Click Export Load G-code to Workspace.
Select to read the corresponding content in accordance with your machine model.
(1)Click Start On Luban.
(2)Select Input Material Thickness mode or Use Work Origin mode.
The thickness of the provided Metal Tag is 1.2 mm.
Be sure to wear laser safety goggles before starting work.
(1) Click Send to Device to send the G-code to the device.
(2) Select the G code file on Touchscreen and click Next to enter Adjust Laser Height interface.
(3) Follow the instructions on Touchscreen to adjust laser height. When finished, click Next to enter the Set Work Origin interface.
(4) Once in the Set Work Origin interface, make sure that it is in the Advanced Mode, then the machine will automatically use the work home position set in Luban.
If it is not in the Advanced Mode, please switch to it in the top right conner of Touchscreen.

(1)Adjust the laser height.
(2)Click Run Boundary and then press the work switch to verify the machining area corresponding to the current working origin. If it does not match the expectation, you can continue adjusting the position of the work origin or rotating the material.
After you click Run Boundary in Luban, a run-boundary file will be generated and transferred to the machine. When you press the work switch, the machine will run the boundary based on that transferred file.
If the laser module bumps into the machine, press the emergency stop button or turn off the machine immediately.
(3)Click Upload Job. Once the transfer is successful, Luban will display a notification.
Each time you transfer a new G-code file, the previously transferred file will be replaced in the microSD card.
(4)Check the state of the Enclosure.
- IF you have installed the Enclosure, make sure the Enclosure door is closed and will stay closed throughout the task.
