If the noise stops after disconnecting the rear fan, it means the loud noise was coming from the small rear fan of the power supply. Please reach out to Snapmaker Support to get a replacement fan.
If the noise continues after disconnecting the rear fan, it’s likely due to the internal fan of the power supply. Since replacing the internal fan can be challenging, please contact Snapmaker Support to get a new power supply or internal power unit.
Note: If it’s confirmed that the unusual noise is caused by the internal fan of the power supply and you have experience with replacements and feel comfortable doing so, you can purchase an internal fan for the SM 2.0 power supply, which uses a 6012 fan. Here’s an Amazon link for your reference:
